Day Dreams

The day is wrapped in azure hues
The air sparkles with clarity 
There is no dream like this 
There is no world as bright 
There is no ocean so blue 
As I dream into the night

But then there are daydreams
Wishes like rivers of thought 
That flood my soul and drown my mind
They throw open the curtains 
And expose who I am
So I can skip blithely into myself
And fly along the ridges of life
